On May 21, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), Comrade Basavaraj, along with nearly 30 other comrades, was murdered by the Indian reactionaries as part of the encirclement and annihilation campaign known as “Operation Kagaar” against the revolutionaries in India.
