NETHERLANDS: Police ramps up repression against our comrade
We share the article found in the webpage of Communist Committee of the Netherlands.
At 07:00 a.m on Friday., Dutch police raided the home of a comrade.
They entered without warning. The comrade was still asleep, unclothed, unarmed, not posing any threat. They were arrested in their bed, transported across the country to Dordrecht, and held for 18 hours. Their crime? Sedition, for denouncing the role of corporations operating in the Netherlands in the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.
the Comrade must now stand before a judge
As if prosecution was not enough, the Dutch state has imposed temporarily movement bans, forbidding the comrade from entering the areas surrounding Fokker GKN and Maersk. we can only make the conclusion they were imposed directly by a judge in service of Maersk, Fokker GKN Aerospace and municipal authorities, a blatant and political act of repression carried out to protect the corporate war machine
Fokker GKN, headquartered in Papendrecht, manufactures components for the F-35 fighter jet, the aircraft used extensively by the zionist enitity to bomb homes, refugee camps, hospitals, and schools in Gaza. These parts are essential to the jet’s functionality. Without them, the bombs would not fall.
Maersk, operating out of Rotterdam, is one of the largest shipping companies in the world. It is responsible for transporting military hardware, weapon parts, and logistical equipment globally. Maersk plays a direct logistical role in sustaining the zionists war on Palestine. Its ships move the machinery of death, while its executives hide behind supply chain abstractions.
Instead of investigating this direct material complicity, Gemeente Papendrecht and Gemeente Rotterdam have chosen to protect these companies.
Gemeente Papendrecht responded to peaceful protest by temporarily banning the comrade from the entire area surrounding Fokker, effectively criminalizing opposition to war profiteering.
Gemeente Rotterdam has deployed additional surveillance infrastructure, including new camera systems near Maersk offices, and increased policing of the area. Rather than addressing the crimes of Maersk, they have criminalized those who dare to name them.
These are not random or neutral administrative acts. These are deliberate political moves to suppress resistance and safeguard capital.
we feel inclined to raise the following points:
Why are municipalities acting as private security forces for arms dealers and war profiteers?
Why does the Dutch state protect companies complicit in genocide while persecuting those who expose that complicity?
What communications, agreements, or “understandings” exist between Maersk and Gemeente Rotterdam, and between Fokker GKN and Gemeente Papendrecht?
Why does exposing the truth result in sedition charges while the actual facilitators of genocide walk free?
When resistance fighters in Gaza fire back against the F-35s, they are resisting weapons built with Dutch parts, shipped in Dutch ports, and defended by Dutch laws.
When activists in the Netherlands blockade Maersk or Fokker, they are disrupting the flow of genocide.
This is one resistance, fought with different weapons on different terrain, but animated by the same commitment to liberation.
Gaza fights with rockets and rifles. We fight with our bodies, our voices, and our actions. Both are forms of resistance. Both are necessary.
We demand the following:
The immediate dropping of all charges against the comrade.
The full lifting of all movement restrictions.
An end to police and municipal repression of Palestine solidarity actions.
Full public disclosure of communications between Maersk, Fokker GKN, and the municipalities of Rotterdam and Papendrecht.
We will fight the criminalization of our comrade.
We reject the repression of our movement.
We refuse to abandon our comrades in Gaza or in the Netherlands.
