URGENT – India: RSF on a Student Activist Missing

We hereby share an important note published by the Revolutionary Students’ Front (RSF).

We received information Student activist Rudra has been missing since the morning of 19th July. Rudra, who is a student of philosophy at Zakir Hussain college of Delhi University, boarded the Howrah New Delhi Durato Express from Kolkata on the morning of 18th. The train, late by an hour reached New Delhi Railway Station around 7.40 am. After reaching Rudra had contacted a comrade and was supposed to reach their room. However, he has been out of contact since then, with his phone being switched off. He last spoke to his family last night and have contacted them last through text around 7 on the morning of 19th. They have been trying but unable to reach Rudra. He has been missing for almost 5 hours now [Editor’s note: now is more than 1 day]. We suspect that he has been illegally picked up by the Delhi Police Special cell, as has been the case with several Delhi based activists in the past week.
