Bangladesh: Transform the grief for the great teacher Comrade Charu Mazumdar’s martyrdom day into strength on July 28

We hereby share an unofficial translation of a leaflet by the Central Organizing Committee of Communist Party of East Bengal (ML) on occasion of the Martyrs’ Week of India.

Follow every instruction of Comrade Charu Mazumdar, the authority to lead the revolutionary working class of India:

The path of Naxalbari has existed since 1967 as the political line of Mao Tse-Tung Thought and Comrade Charu Mazumdar. The existence of the political line of the first social revolution formulated by Comrade Charu Mazumdar in a specific State of India, founded on the basis of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism and Maoist ideology, can only be satisfactorily explained by the history of this whole episode – why, even in the most difficult circumstances, it has survived as an alternative necessity for the victory of the national democratic revolution of overthrowing imperialism, feudalism and bureaucratic-capitalism, led by the proletariat.

Comrades and friends, are there any people, not only in our country but in the whole world (except the insane and intellectually handicapped), who do not know or understand that there is one group of the beneficiaries of the society, the other group is of the underprivileged, the one group is of the rich, the other of the poor, the one is lazy, the other is working, the one consists of plunderers, while the other group is being plundered, one is of the rulers and the other of those who are being ruled? Who does not know today that this division is called class division, the division of rulers and ruled, the division of those with power and those without? And who does not know that economic inequality is at the root of this division? That who produces, lacks of rights in the consumption or distribution of the product, that’s the root cause of all exploitation, deprivation and class discrimination in the world, the basis of all the injustices of society. Since historical times, various efforts to remove this injustice have been made by the thinking leaders of society and each of the exploited classes who are victims of exploitation discrimination according to their limitations. Some have invented new ideas and the class masses have spontaneously fought and rebelled. Through all these incidents, the society has learned many positive and negative lessons, but the problem of class exploitation and rule has not been solved. In the nineteenth century, Karl Marx and Engels, the founders of the modern proletariat, who transformed themselves from one class to the other, discovered the source of the problem first and showed the peoples of the world the scientific way to solve it. As a result, all forms of idealism and plagiarism and anarchist and class characterless opportunistic compromises were discarded.

The last line in the Manifesto of the Communist Party declares that the modern productive class, the proletariat, has nothing to lose but it’s chains, and the whole world to conquer. Parting from that Lenin established the proletariat’s own red state socialist Soviet Union in the world surrounded by the white state in 1917. In order to stop the advance of the working class in Europe and to hide their irreconcilable plunder competition and plundering character, the imperialist reactionaries all over the world killed about 200 million people in two world wars. Asia woke up in response. On the basis of Marxism-Leninism in the special socio-economic realities of Asia different from Europe, Chairman Mao Tse-tung, Commander-in-Chief of the Communist Party of China, discovered and applied the scientific way of how the working class in the colonies and semi-colonies has to unite itself with the vast peasantry to win the independent national democratic revolution oriented towards socialism and achieved victory. In Asia, Africa and Latin America, there was an unprecedented wave of national liberation struggles led by the working class. The reactionaries all over the world are about to drown in that wave. After the death of Stalin, the traitors changed the color of the working class’s own red State, of the Soviet Union. The plunderers, reactionary rulers and exploiters from abroad attacked from outside, and the traitors also captured forts by buying people from inside or inserting their own people.

Chairman Mao took up the blood red flag of the international working class’s liberation. A historic international ideological debate took place. In that debate, Chairman Mao defended the present and future of the working class, developed it and made the international working class invincible by launching the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, known as the Third Revolution. And under its influence, Comrade Charu Mazumdar, through her eight historical documents, created the first social revolution of the proletariat of India, the great Naxalbari peasant uprising, known as the thunderbolt of spring, the first social revolution of the proletariat of India. The spark of the thunderbolt of Mao Tse-Tung-Thought arose with the aim of capturing State power, which created a fire in the whole of South Asia, the path of the great historic Naxalbari of international importance. All reactions, interior and foreign, jumped in unison, with all their hatred and strength. Comrade Charu Mazumdar, as a worthy disciple of Chairman Mao, as a true commander of the proletariat of India, broke all the barriers at home and abroad, broke all the barriers and went forward with the red flag of the revolution and was martyred; He showed the way to the people’s emancipation not only of India but of the whole of South Asia, enlightened and enthroned us in the position of leadership of the proletariat like in India.

Comrades and friends, the immortal martyr Comrade Mofakkhar Chowdhury, the main flag bearer of the line of Maoism and Charu Mazumdar in East Bengal, said, “History creates the role of a person and later that person takes history forwards and becomes part of it. The history of class struggle in the Indian subcontinent was created by the revolutionary role of the revered leader Charu Mazumdar – and by playing this role properly, became the revolutionary story of this subcontinent today. Today, Charu Mazumdar means revolution and revolution means Charu Mazumdar.” After India attacked China in 1962, the so-called communist leaders who upheld nationalism joined and raised their voices as Nehru’s submissive slaves and shouted – ‘China has attacked India’. Comrade Charu Mazumdar and his followers were the only exception at that time. They raised the banner of communist internationalism in the light of the proletarian conception of the world.

Resolutely, standing firmly on the side of the truth, standing against the tide, Comrade Charu Mazumdar declared in 1962 that the Indian government had attacked China, so we should oppose this war. In 1963-64 he declared, “We belong to a Party of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin and Chairman Mao, today. We are not members of the party of Kautsky which today is the party of the traitor Khrushchev.” In 1963-64, he appealed to the communist revolutionaries in a loud voice: “Learn to hate our revisionist past, only then you can become good revolutionaries. Today is the day to learn from the mistakes in the past and move forward again. You can’t open the way for the new without breaking the old.” Comrades, summarizing the anti-revisionist struggle in the heart of India, Comrade Charu Mazumdar declared in 1965, “With who we shall unite: (1) Those who accept Comrade Mao as the leader of the world revolution and accept his thought as the highest Marxist-Leninism of the present age. (2) Those who believe that revolutionary conditions exist everywhere in India. (3) Those who believe that we can take the Indian revolution forward only through the seizure of area-based power. (4) Those who believe that the development and progress of this revolution can be made only through guerrilla struggle.” In the light of Chairman Mao’s thought, Comrade Charu Mazumdar observed, analyzed and wrote eight historical anti-revisionist documents. All eight documents marked the beginning of the successful application of Mao Tse-tung-Thought in the bosom of India, establishing the scientific truth that India’s revolution is possible on the path of the Chinese revolution. It establishes the fact that the armed revolutionary path, not the parliamentary path, is the only path to the emancipation of the Indian people. The revisionist traitors largely hid the problem of Party formation by denying the problem of building forces in semi-colonial semi-feudal India. Comrade Charu Mazumdar solved the problem of the construction of the Party by solving the problem of forming forces in the specific situation of India. He formulated the line of building an army by eliminating class enemies. This line of annihilation of the class enemy is his own contribution to the specific situation of India. The way Chairman Mao has elevated guerrilla war to the level of strategy in the Chinese revolutionary war, Comrade Charu Mazumdar has raised the line of elimination of class enemies to the level of guerrilla warfare in a certain situation in India. Therefore, in India as well as in our country, the elimination of class enemies is the strategy. This fact is known and understood by the reactionary revisionists and therefore they concentrate all their attacks on this great line of annihilation of the class enemy. Comrade Charu Mazumdar said that the elimination of class enemies is the higher form of class struggle and the beginning of guerrilla war and people’s war. Generalizing this great line, he declared: “The class struggle, that is the struggle of annihilation, can solve all the problems before us and raise the struggle to a higher level, raise the consciousness of our people to a higher level, create suitable conditions for the emergence of the new style of man, the man of the Mao Tse-tung era, who do not fear suffering or death, can build up the People’s Army and thus secure the establishment of permanent base areas.

Comrades and friends, Comrade Charu Mazumdar, the founder of the Indian revolution, has been murdered by the fascist India, the goddess of dreams of the false democratic worshippers of our country. On July 16, 1972, Indian police forces, with the help of revisionists within the party, arrested Comrade Charu Mazumdar. Indira’s police tortured this ill and physically weak great leader for 12 days in police custody. Finally, on the direct instructions of the revisionist Brezhnev, his mistress India and her Congress government murdered this foreman of the Indian Revolution on July 28, 1972.

The scoundrels in our country who propagate like a Goebbels, that India is the largest democracy, rule India with blood; Isn’t July 28 a big slap on their cheeks? Yes, it is. In recent times, we unmask the ongoing reform by the Army and Yunus-U.S., in our country, the magic that comes in a new bottle of old wine. This can only be done by holding fast to the revolution. The face of these polymorphic fascist rulers, agents of US imperialism and Indian expansionism in unlimited shamelessness, have become hardened today, so they are no longer disturbed by just slaps, so they need to be attacked with strength. So let’s turn grief into strength on July 28. Let us firmly hold fast to the line of class enemy elimination of the revered leader Comrade Charu Mazumdar, the immortal authority of the Indian revolution. The people’s victory is overwhelming.

May the 53rd martyrdom day of the great teacher Comrade Charu Mazumdar be immortal!

Repay the blood debt that the revolt of 2024 has accumulated in the blood of the ruling class!

Hold fast to the elimination of the class enemy and accelerate the New Democratic Revolution!

Assemble under the banner of the Communist Party of East Bengal!
