Avrupa Haber has reported that the AGEB camp which started on July 21 in the coastal town of Tolo, Greece, and ended on August 6, included several events. We hereby share a resume of those events and developments.
A presentation on current political developments was conducted by a Partizan’s representative. The presentation, attended by a large audience, covered global developments, crises, and the wars occurring nowadays. It also addressed developments in the Middle East, the policies pursued by the Turkish State during this process, the ongoing negotiations between the State and the PKK in Turkey and the proletarian stance and approach to the revolutionary solution of the Kurdish national issue.
A cultural event was organized featuring the songs and anthems that comrades who fell as martyrs in the revolutionary struggle loved to sing. Together with the crowd at the camp, a collective tribute was paid to the fallen comrades, honoring all those who have become immortal.
As part of women’s studies, a training session was held based on the article “Women’s Declaration is Fundamental,” published in the Yeni Demokrasi newspaper. A presentation was made based on the subject that has been covered in the last two issues of the Yeni Demokrasi newspaper, focusing on the results of the meeting.
Due to the presence of comrades from KKE (m-l) conducting their own camp near the AGEB camp, a group of young comrades visited the Greek comrades’ camp. The following evening, the Greek comrades visited the AGEB Camp and delivered a brief speech. The event included traditional dances and songs.
A commemoration was held by the young people at the camp to honor our young comrade Ayfer Ceren Karatepe, a member of YDG, who lost her life in a traffic accident during the camp process in Greece ten years ago, along with her father, Mazlum Karatepe.
A moment of silence was held in honor of the fallen leadership cadres, guerrilla commanders, and people’s warriors of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) during a gathering led by comrade Başavaraj, the secretary of CPI(Maoist). The event included discussions aimed at raising international solidarity with the revolutionary struggle and People’s War in India, concluding with the slogans “Comrade Basvaraj is immortal! Long live CPI(Maoist)! Long live People’s War!”
A presentation was conducted by a representative of AGEB for the camp participants, focusing on developments in Europe. The goals and plans of AGEB regarding its activities in Europe were explained, emphasizing the need to develop the anti-imperialist struggle and to respond more actively to the attacks of the ruling classes. After this explanation, the audience was given the opportunity to speak. The event concluded after addressing the questions posed and the discussions that took place.
