Stop Dublin Greece Initiative Announces Major Gain

We share an unofficial translation of a note published by Avrupa Haber.

Our long-standing struggle as the “Stop Dublin Greece” initiative has culminated in a recent positive decision by the Swiss Federal Court, officially ending our Dublin process. This decision has granted us the right to continue our residency in Switzerland.

This decision by the Swiss Federal Court is not only a legal decision; it is also a concrete step in upholding human rights, the right to a fair trial, and the protection of refugee rights. We extend our gratitude to the Swiss Federal Court for this.

This significant achievement is not only ours, but also the success of a struggle built on solidarity. We extend our sincere gratitude to all the institutions and solidarity networks that have stood by us from the beginning, made our voices heard, and provided unwavering legal and humanitarian support.

The “Stop Dublin Greece” platform we established has fulfilled its mission. Moving forward, we will focus on building our lives in Switzerland safely and humanely and addressing other issues surrounding immigration policies.
