Philippine Revolution Web Central (PRWC) has recently reported on several new operations carried out within the framework of the People’s War in the Philippines by the New People’s Army (NPA). We hereby share a compilation of some of them.

The Melito Glor Command-NPA Southern Tagalog carried out various operations during the month of September. A unit fired on the newly established military camp of the 85th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army (IBPA) in Barangay Cogorin Ibaba, Lopez, on September 4. To cover up the failure, the military denied casualties on their side.

An NPA-Mindoro (Lucio de Guzman Command) unit preemptively struck the attacking 1st Infantry Battalion (IB) troops in Oriental Mindoro on September 9. They eliminated a soldier and wounded two others. In their public statements, the 1st IB and 203rd Infantry Brigade (IBde) denied the casualties despite widespread social media posts showing their dead and wounded troops being loaded onto a helicopter.

The NPA-Northern Negros (Roselyn Jean Pelle Command) opened fire on the 79th IB Charlie Company troopers operating in Negros Occidental on the night of September 14. According to the initial report, some 79th IB soldiers sustained injuries.

A unit of the Romeo Nanta Command-NPA punished an intel asset of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Negros Oriental on September 16. Tata Balasabas, 40, was sentenced to death for spying on the NPA and for participating in the murder of the red fighters Jolina “Ka Chloe” Martinez and Marjon “Ka Mark” Encancion.

Despite the statements by the Marcos Jr. Regime that there is no more guerrilla in the Philippines, the NPA continues carrying out armed actions and inflicting casualties to the State forces and its agents.
