Mobilizations for October 7 – Anniversary of Al-Aqsa Flood

We hereby share several mobilizations that will take place today on October 7, the second anniversary of the action by the National Resistance Front of Palestine, which marks two years of genocide by the Israeli State, which so far has left 67.000 Palestinians murdered and 170.000 injured, according to the Ministry of Health of Gaza.

Turkey: Thousands Salute The Palestinian Resistance

A demonstration in Istanbul took place gathering thousands of people in support of the Palestinian people under the slogan “Full Embargo on Israel for a Free Palestine”.

The Kartal Palestine Solidarity collective, of which Partizan is a member, held a speech at the Neyzen Teyfik Square, Istanbul, and denounced the famine in Gaza and the complicity of the US. Slogans such as “From the River to the Sea – Palestine will be Free” and “A Thousand Salutes to Those Who Fall and Fight in Palestine” followed the speech.

Mexico: Sol Rojo Calls For Joint Mobilization For Palestine

A joint mobilization will take place in Oaxaca on the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood.

France: Mobilizations across the country

The Philippines: Call for International Day of Action

Philippine Revolution Web Central has published a statement on the anniversary of Al-Aqsa Flood:

The International League of the People’s Struggles (ILPS) has also issued a statement on the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood:

They also made a call for the people to unite against the genocide of the Palestinian people and to break the siege of Gaza.

Norway: Mobilizations in the country

In several cities demonstrations were already called:

Trondheim: 18:00h in Cicignons plass

Bergen: 17:00h by Den blå steinen

Denmark: Copenhagen will hold a demonstration

Anti-imperialist Action has, together with Aktiv for Palæstine Brønshøj/Husum/Tingbjerg made a call for a demonstration on 7th October in Tingbjerg at 17:30.

Netherlands: The capital Flooded with Palestinian solidarity

Approximately 250,000 people gathered in Amsterdam against the government’s pro-Israeli policies. One of the slogans was “It’s not a peace plan, it’s Imperialism.”

Greece: Several Demonstrations

The Communist Party of Greece (m-l) [KKE(m-l)] calls for demonstrations in Patras and Athens on October 7, both at 18:30h.

Banned demonstrations

In several countries the demonstrations of October 7 were banned by the governments as a way to prevent the massive demonstrations.

Italy has already banned the “anti-Israel” demonstrations in Bologna, one of the cities where the General Strike for Palestine took to the streets to hundred of thousands of people, two million demonstrated in Italy, shutting down the country.

In the UK, the Prime Minister Keir Starmer has urged protesters to cancel the demonstrations on the anniversary of Al-Aqsa Flood. Despite this call, some marches are already planned: At Queen Mary University in London, Action for Palestine will march for the “two years of resistance”. Several universities have already also planned similar actions.
