Mass Demonstrations Commemorating 2nd Anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood in USA
The Worker has reported on several demonstrations that took place across the USA in commemoration of the 2nd anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood, and in condemnation of the US-Israel genocide.
In New York a demonstration was held outside of Columbia University. About 100 people gathered, condemning the university’s role in the genocide, and urging activists to uphold and defend the lessons of the Palestinian resistance. Several powerful speeches were held, celebrating the Palestinian resistance and condemning the use of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as a tool for political repression.
Another demonstration was held outside of the monopoly media parent company News Corp in Manhattan, condemning their role in covering for the ongoing genocide.

In Seattle, Washington, the Puget Sound Revolutionary Student Union, together with 32 schools joined a state-wide call in walking out for Palestine. They demanded an end to US support for Israel and in defense of Palestinian resistance. The protester numbered around 400, and an effigy and an Israeli flag was burned during the demonstration.

Students for Justice in Palestine groups organized a march through Boston, Massachusets, blocking traffic and waving Palestinian flags. At one point the demonstration was attacked by the police. However, the protesters fought back and would not let the demonstration be dispersed, lighting flares and chanting as they surrounded the officers. 13 protesters were arrested and many were injured, while 4 police officers were hospitalized for injuries.
Hundreds participated in a march organized by the Philly Palestine Coalition in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Despite heavy police presence, the march rallied outside the city’s ICE headquarters.
Speakers connected both ICE and IDF as tools of Yankee imperialism, and spoke of the importance of armed resistance in the face of oppression.
