Ecuador: THE SOLIDARITY OF THE PEOPLE IS LIKE IGNITED GUNPOWDER!

We hereby share a statement from the Defense Front of the People’s Struggles in Ecuador (FDLP-EC).

The popular indigenous uprising remains strong. Not only because of the determined participation of the grassroots of the indigenous movement, trade unionists, students, street vendors, and other fighters of the people who confront the hyenas of reaction, but also because of the constant contribution of organizations and collectives that, with food and other supplies, support the comrades who resist on the highways and streets of the country.

Such generosity and solidarity from our people!

Also noteworthy is the role of the collectives of lawyers who have put themselves at the service of those who have been illegally detained by the forces of the old bureaucratic big landlord state. Particular recognition is due to the Colectivo de Abogados Democráticos (Collective of Democratic Lawyers), an organization committed to comrades who have been prosecuted or captured; thanks to their actions, many have already regained their freedom from the jaws of fascism.

The popular struggle is a collective exercise that is fueled by the solidarity of those who have rejected false opportunistic leadership. With organization, discipline, and determination, we continue to advance toward the achievement of our goals. IT IS RIGHT TO REBEL!
