Three Police Informants Eliminated in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh

Night of Friday the 24th of October two police informants were allegedly eliminated by Maoists guerrillas in Nela Kanker, Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. According to reports the Maoists held a public court where the informants were sentenced.

This took place in the context of the increased anti-Maoist actions taking place under operation Kagaar, where the old State repression and surveillance in the area has increased manyfold.

More similar actions took place, also in Chhattisgarh. According to reports a BJP-party official was eliminated in the village of Munjal Kanker, in Bijapur. As the reports states, she had been a police informant. A pamphlet was found in the area denouncing the strengthening of the police informants in villages.
