Partizan Switzerland: Kazım Șengül Will Live On in Our Struggle
We hereby share an unofficial translation of an obituary published by Avrupa Haber.
We were saddened to receive the sad news that Kazım Şengül passed away on the morning of October 31st, succumbing to the illness he had been battling for many years.
Kazım Şengül, one of the founders and president of the Solidarity Association of the Peoples (ASOP) in Geneva, also served as a board member of the Swiss Federation of Democratic Rights (ADHF) for various periods. He touched the lives of every political immigrant who came to Geneva, without discrimination, and always opened his doors and opportunities to them.
In all of Partizan’s fieldwork, he demonstrated the finest examples of revolutionary solidarity; he not only supported but also personally contributed to the work. He guided and extended a helping hand to every new comrade. Kazım Güneş was not only a comrade in arms for us, but also a true friend and exemplary revolutionary.
While we are deeply saddened by his absence today, we will continue to embrace the ASOP he nurtured and the spirit of revolutionary solidarity he represented.
We offer our condolences to his family, comrades, friends and the entire political migrant community in Geneva.
Kazım Şengül is immortal!
