Kazım Şengül was laid to rest in Switzerland

Kazım Şengül, who lost his life on October 31, 2025, was sent off to eternity with a mass ceremony on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in Geneva, Switzerland.
The commemoration and farewell ceremony held at the Saint-Georges Cemetery Chapel in Petit-Lancy, Geneva, began with a speech given by ASOP (Association for Solidarity of the People of Geneva), of which he was the founder and president.
In the speech delivered in Turkish and French, Kazım Şengül’s life, struggle, his solidarity and creative personality, as well as his devotion to Kaypakkaya were explained.
Following the ASOP representative’s presentation, the Maoist Communist Party (MKP) representative delivered a speech. The representative explained the Kazım Şengül’s years of struggle, his period of torture and imprisonment, and described his devotion to Kaypakkaya’s ideas and tradition, as well as the resolute and consistent stance he displayed throughout his organized life. He concluded by saying, “We will keep Comrade Kazım Şengül’s revolutionary memory alive in our struggle.”
Following the MKP representative, the Partizan representative said, “We have gathered here today to bid farewell to an exemplary revolutionary who never gave up his lifelong struggle for humanity’s liberation. We once again respectfully commemorate our revolutionary friend Kazım Şengül, a veteran of the Kaypakkaya tradition. We offer our condolences to the dear Şengül family, our comrades in the trenches, his friends, the directors of the ASOP association he founded, its members, and his friends and family.”
Kazım Şengül was a revolutionary who touched the lives of every political migrant who came to Geneva without discrimination, and who always opened his doors and help wide. He demonstrated the best examples of revolutionary solidarity in all revolutionary work in the field and was an exemplary revolutionary who always stood by Partizan.
He concluded by saying, “We remember him once again with respect and will keep him alive in our struggle. Kazım Şengül is immortal!”
Following the ceremony, Kazım Şengül was carried off to eternity on the shoulders of his comrades and friends.
