Resistance Actions and Continued Escalation of Settler-Occupier Attacks in the West Bank
On November 21st, the Jenin Brigade of the Al-Quds Brigades detonated a guided ‘Sijjil’ explosive device in the Muthallun area, targeting the route of Israeli military reinforcements advancing toward the town, according to Palestine Chronicle.
They go on to report that, at the same time, the Nablus Brigade of the Al-Quds Brigades reportedly engaged an Israeli infantry unit with heavy and direct gunfire near a besieged house, as fighters continued confronting Israeli forces in the village of Tal, adjusting their tactics to the shifting field conditions.
Earlier in the day Israeli repressive forces surrounded the home of Walid Ishtieyh, thereafter launching a raid with several jeeps and vehicles, firing live ammunition and grenades, murdering Ishtieyh.
In addition to Ishtiyeh, the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that Israeli forces killed two Palestinian children during a military raid on the town of Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli repressive forces also raided several areas in Nablus, where they set up temporary checkpoints in Rafidia neighborhood and on Al-Academy Street.
Israeli repressive forces detained several Palestinians in Tubas and Jenin. One man was detained after Israeli forces surrounded his family home near Al-Fara’a camp, south of Tubas. Another 25 year old was abducted after a raid carried out by Israeli special forces. In Jenin another Palestinian youth was detained after Israeli repressive forces surrounded his home.
Israeli occupation forces detained Palestinian Legislative Council member Jamal al-Tiraoui and his sons during a pre-dawn raid on the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank on Saturday, according to the Palestine Chronicle.
Separately, it was reported that Israeli settlers carried out a wave of violent attacks on Palestinians and their property across multiple areas of the occupied West Bank on Friday.
Assaults were documented from Masafer Yatta to Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus, and Tulkarm, as settler violence continues to escalate.
