Report on Actions for November 25th in Finland
Activists in Finland have made several actions on the occasion of 25th of November. Before the actual day, posters were seen in several sites in Tampere for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

On November 25th, different types of actions were carried out. Red Action organized an event for women to study the works of Marxism, Mariátegui, and the Women’s movement by the Communist Party of Peru. The study addressed the need for a world revolution to end patriarchy and examined the case of Finland, where violence against women is used to incite racism. Emphasis was placed on the need for a revolutionary women’s movement led by the proletariat, which goes beyond the reforms being implemented within the framework of imperialism.
Red Action also participated in a debate organized by Helsinki Antiimperialist, where other groups were also present. Once again, the connection between the oppression of women and private property and class society was highlighted, and discussions took place about Finland, Iran, and Latin America, as well as the need for women to participate in the struggle.

In Hervanta, Tampere, the Anti-imperialist Collective organized a rally, writing about it:
“On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, November 25th, we organized a demonstration in Hervanta. Anti-imperialist Collective demands to put an end to femicide and the most forceful slogans of resistance resonated throughout the Hervanta Center. Young local people shouted slogans for Palestine, and children also helped distribute leaflets. In our speech, we exposed the lies of Finnish imperialism about equality, as it benefits from the exploitation of working women in its homeland and maintains semi-feudal oppression of women in oppressed countries. We cited the example of Palestine and other liberation struggles and revolutions, especially the Peoples Wars of our time. We called for rejecting the role of victim by joining the massive participation of women in the anti-imperialist struggle.”
