At Least Three Paramilitaries Eliminated and Two Injured in Bijapur, India.
On Wednesday, a fierce armed clash took place in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh between Maoist guerrillas and paramilitary forces from the District Reserve Guard (DRG). Unverified information regarding the confrontation is still coming in. The operation was conducted jointly by DRG paramilitaries, elite CoBRA operatives, CRPF paramilitaries, and others.
Despite the overwhelming superiority in resources and troop numbers, Indian repressive forces acknowledged at least three paramilitaries eliminated and two others injured. Nevertheless, it is well known that the old Indian State tends to inflate the number of supposed guerrilla casualties while concealing its own losses, which is a widespread practice on its part.
According to local media, the repressive operation is still ongoing, so there may be new casualty figures.
