International Actions and Statements Commemorating the Anniversary of Chairman Gonzalo’s Birth and the foundation of EPL

Many actions and statements have been made internationally on the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of Chairman Gonzalo and the foundation of People’s Liberation Army (EPL) of the Communist Party of Peru (PCP).

Dem Volke Dienen reports that activists of the Red League marked the founding of the People’s Guerrilla Army (EGP) of the Communist Party of Peru (PCP), and the birth of Chairman Gonzalo, by “launching a powerful propaganda campaign” in the form of a video:

The choreography concluded with a pyrotechnic display accompanied by the chants of “People’s War until Communism!”, “Eternal glory to Chairman Gonzalo!”, and “Long live the Communist Party of Peru!”. They also state in the report that “EPL”, abbreviation from “Ejercito Popular de Liberación”, should have been used instead of “EGP” because in the Third Plenum of the Central Committee the name was changed.

The newspaper El Pueblo of Chile reports that actions were carried out on the Peruvian embassy on the anniversary of the birth of Chairman Gonzalo.

Accompanied with pictures of the action, they write a short biography of the life and work of Chairman Gonzalo and his effect on Peruvian society and the world.

Defence Front of the People’s Struggles in Ecuador published a statement on the occasion of the anniversary of Chairman Gonzalo’s birth, under the title:

“WE CELEBRATE WITH COMMUNIST OPTIMISM THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF GONZALO THOUGHT”
