Repression Against Palestine Activists in France

During last week, La Cause du Peuple has denounced several attacks against pro-Palestinian activists in France.

Recently they published an interview conducted by Partizan of comrade Alex, of the Ligue de la Jeunesse Révolutionnaire who is facing persecution after defending the Palestinian resistance in a demonstration supporting Georges Abdallah in Paris on February 8, 2025.

During the interview, the activist denounces the persecution and states: “The French State seeks to muzzle and silence the voices that oppose the genocide, and that is where we see that being organized is necessary, that the defense of democratic freedoms is a revolutionary issue and struggle.”

The full interview can be found here:

Yamin Makri, a resident of Vénissieux and pro-Palestinian activist was prosecuted following posts on Facebook defending the Palestinian people and their resistance. On the morning of his trial on December 11, he called for the development of broad national coordination against the repression of pro-Palestinian activists in France and for the continuation of the fight for a free Palestine.

The independent journalist, Shahin Hazamy has signed a joint declaration denouncing the repression of the French State. On April his home was raided, during which his wife, who was pregnant at the time, was assaulted, and his young children witnessed their father being beaten at 6:00 a.m. by the BRI (Research and Intervention Brigade) in their home.

His journalistic equipment was confiscated by investigators and all his funds, including a fundraising campaign, are frozen.

These three different cases show the increasing repression by the French State against pro-Palestinian activists and the use of the so-called ‘anti-terrorist’ laws against those who raise their voice.
