Three Partizan Readers Were Detained in Sarıgazi, Turkey
Three Partizan readers who hung a banner regarding the December 19 Prison Massacre in Sarıgazi last night were taken into custody.
As Yeni Demokrasi reports, in Istanbul’s Sarıgazi district last night, Partizan readers who hung a banner saluting prisoners continuing their resistance in prisons on the 25th anniversary of the December 19 Prison Massacre were detained by the police.
One Partizan reader was taken to the Samandıra Children’s Branch, while two Partizan readers were held overnight at the Sarıgazi Police Station. This morning, the Partizan readers were transferred to the Çağlayan Courthouse to give statements to the prosecutor.
The three detained readers have to attend the courthouse to sign several times per week and they are not allow to travel.
