Linz, Austria: More Repression Against the Palestine Solidarity
We hereby share an unofficial translation of a note found in Die Rote Fahne.
Today, Friday January 2, 2026, a participant in a rally organized by the Palestine solidarity movement was detained in the train station in Linz. Activists from Vienna were on their way to the march in solidarity with the Palestinian journalist Mustafa Ayash, accused of “financing terrorism” for collecting money for Gaza. The police was already waiting for them in the train station in Linz and a participant was arrested. This shows again how imprisonment and muzzling are used to repress the freedom of expression and assembly.
Show solidarity in the rallies on Saturday and Sunday:
Freedom to Mustafa Ayash!
Freedom to our political prisoners!
Saturday and Sunday 15:00 – 18:00, Pochestraße 9, 4020 Linz
