AIL Call for an International Campaign Against US Imperialist Aggression in Venezuela

YANKEE IMPERIALISM, OUT OF VENEZUELA!
Call for an international campaign to reject the aggression of Yankee imperialism in Venezuela
The Coordinating Committee for the Founding of the Anti-Imperialist League vigorously rejects and condemns the criminal military aggression carried out by Yankee imperialism against Venezuela on the night of January 3rd, 2026. This act of war, which included bombings, murders and the kidnapping of President Maduro and his wife, is a blatant violation of national sovereignty – followed by declarations that the United States “will run the country”, threats to carry out bigger attacks and statements that the United States would control Venezuelan oil – constitute a direct military aggression against Venezuela, a direct threat to Cuba, Mexico and Colombia, and all the oppressed peoples in Latin America and the world. In this absolute disdain for international law and open aggression and violence, the true face of Yankee imperialism is unveiled. It resorts to ever more desperate measures to maintain its declining world hegemony.
The same ones that have, through the CIA, impulsed drug trafficking by using it as a political weapon – as happened in the 80s with the “dirty war” in Central America, the “Contras” in Nicaragua, and with the production of opium poppy and commercialization of opium in Afghanistan – today use the “combating drug traffic” as a facade to deepen the militarization, the military occupation and aggression against Latin America and the Caribbean. The same ones who bear a long history of interventionism in Latin America, who have overthrown at least 41 governments between 1898 and 1994 – from Guatemala to Chile, from Brazil to Haiti – and trained torturers in the School of the Americas and funded death squads. Today, United States, posing itself as the great gendarme of democracy, aims to open another chapter of greater interventionism and aggression against the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean.
While the imperialists provide absolute support to the Zionist genocide in Palestine, they carry out bombings in Nigeria unpunished, they orchestrate wars for plundering resources in Sudan, submit the nations and peoples from West Asia until Sahel, while within the United States itself they generate racist terror against immigrants. The greater terrorist in the world, USA, today cynically present itself as defenders of democracy in Venezuela!
The prime objective of this offensive over Latin America is, in addition to the plunder of natural resources and raw materials, the military occupation of Latin America, to set up preparations for a new inter-imperialist contend for the re-partition of the world, the contention of the influence of powers such as China and Russia in the region and the economic, political, and military re-structuring of its rearguard, its “backyard” to face its economic, political and military crisis. They also seek to ward off any revolutionary mass uprising that struggle for their true liberation and threaten the existence of imperialism.
Its challenging “Trump Corollary” to the Monroe Doctrine and the growing aggression will mainly serve to wake what they fear the most: the revolutionary hatred and resistance of the peoples. From Rio Bravo to Patagonia, and from Venezuela to the resolute resistance in Gaza, the anti-imperialist movement prepares itself to re-emerge. In its despair, like a moribund beast, it has stuck its military boots in a mire from which it will be even more dragged down.
National sovereignty and the rights of the peoples can only be achieved through consistent anti-imperialist, revolutionary, and combative struggle. It is a dangerous illusion to nourish hope in the notion that imperialists and their lackeys – the biggest butchers and genociders of history – will suddenly convert themselves into saints who want to respect sovereignty, cooperate and to talk; the sovereignty of the peoples is achieved with struggle and not with demagogy and lies, it is necessary to combat capitulation and to prepare ourselves for a protracted struggle to end with the imperialist system.
We make a call to impulse an international campaign to condemn and to carry out direct action against the aggression of Venezuela. We call all the proletarian, democratic, revolutionary, and anti-imperialist forces to deploy popular mobilization and politically denounce, active solidarity, and combative resistance. We call on all sincere patriots, democrats and progressive people for unity and to strengthen popular mobilization – in defense of Venezuelan sovereignty and against the imperialist aggression in the American continent and in the world.
We make a call to start the activities as soon as possible in the framework of an international campaign and we call for an International Day of Action of February 3rd 2026 to condemn the Yankee aggression against Venezuela.
Against the imperialist aggression and occupation, the peoples of the world will resist and imperialism will lose!
