Colombia: Call for a National Meeting Against Yankee Aggression in Latin America

We hereby share an unofficial translation of a call published by Nueva Democracia.

The Coordinator of Popular Struggles (CLP), a broad, democratic and popular space that brings together various organizations, collectives and activists for the struggle for the rights of the people, has launched a call to hold a NATIONAL MEETING AGAINST YANKEE AGGRESSION AGAINST LATIN AMERICA.

This initiative is of great importance within the context of the general crisis of imperialism, and particularly the decline of Yankee imperialism, which, in an attempt to save itself, attacks the peoples of the world to plunder them more intensely, exploit them more voraciously, and oppress them in more openly violent ways. The CLP statement affirms that the recent aggressions and threats from the U.S. “are not isolated incidents, nor temporary phenomena; this is a reality that is here to stay. It is a new U.S. onslaught against Latin America. Its documents, declarations, and actions leave no room for doubt: the Yankees seek to further subjugate our America by force, because its peoples oppose it.”

The statement invites “every person or popular organization that is pained and outraged by this vile aggression of imperialism and wants to do something about it, to work together for the realization of a NATIONAL MEETING for unity and resistance AGAINST YANKEE AGGRESSION AGAINST LATIN AMERICA.”

Below, we share the full statement. We will share more details regarding specific dates and locations as soon as we have them.
