Former Old Indian State Official Eliminated in Bastar

A former sarpanch of a village was eliminated in Bijapur, in the Bastar region on Tuesday according to the local reactionary press [A sarpanch is a local political representative of the old Indian State]. The man eliminated was well-known due to his involvement with the counterrevolution in the region and the local government.
He was eliminated in an ambush where the Maoist guerrilla fired multiple rounds with an assault rifle, reportedly. The old Indian State unleashed a large combing operation trying to find the guerrillas involved, but so far has achieved nothing.
Thousands of paramilitary and military personnel have been deployed in the past two years in Chhattisgarh in the framework of the genocidal Operation Kagaar, but despite the siege, the Maoists are able to carry out operations as this one in the area.
