Germany: Long Live the Red Women’s Movement! To the Streets on 8th of March!

We hereby share an unofficial translation of the call found in Dem Volke Dienen.

Proletarians of all countries, unite!

Long live the Red Women’s Movement!

Out on March 8th!

March 8th is just around the corner and we women have double the reason to fight!

If we look around at the world today, we see a system that wages a brutal struggle for survival: capitalism in its highest and final stage, imperialism. Ever-growing poverty, hunger, and misery, increasingly bloody attacks on national liberation movements and imperialist aggressions and wars of aggression against oppressed nations on the rise, primarily driven by US imperialism, with the goal of defending its position as the sole hegemonic superpower.

The oppression through patriarchy and, with it, the situation of us women, is becoming increasingly acute, inextricably linked to imperialism, despite what some claim. While a few years ago a man killed his (ex-)partner every three days, today it’s almost every two days. Measures like electronic ankle bracelets, which were bragged about by the coalition government, are no longer being discussed. And let’s not even talk about the legalization of abortion, as this openly reactionary government has made it a point to trample women’s right to self-determination from the start. The government’s attacks on part-time work and the abolition of citizen’s aid directly affect us women, and under the leadership of a man who, as is well known, voted in favor of marital rape.

The struggle of the international proletariat and the peoples of the world is the struggle of their women, the struggle for communism. Therefore, a strong class-conscious women’s movement in this country is more necessary than ever, one that clearly distinguishes itself from those who try to channel women’s powerful anger into harmless channels of this rotten system, by denying the inseparability of patriarchy and private property, by engaging in identity politics, and by spreading the crazy idea that women must take patriarchal behavior to the extreme in order to “emancipate”.

But we don’t believe in any of these lies; we know that our struggle is the struggle of our class and that it is right! The conditions are magnificent, and resistance is growing all over the world, with female comrades on the front lines.

Working women: March 8th is our day!

Wave after wave, blow after blow against imperialism and patriarchy!

The Red Women’s Committees – FRG have been fighting this fight for almost a decade, and now it’s time to give this struggle a unified, nationwide organizational form and a big boost to create a real shock force in the class struggle in the FRG today.

That’s why, with full pride and great joy, we announce the founding of the “Red Women’s Movement”. The first activist organization under the umbrella of the Red League, which will fulfill exactly this task: to mobilize, politicize, and organize working-class women and women of the people to create combatants for the revolution.

For a class line in the women’s movement!

Proletarian feminism for communism!

To the streets on 8th of March!

The declaration of principles and the program of the Red Women’s Movement is the ideological and political foundation

Additionally, after 8th of March there will be a series of events in different cities where we want to present the Red Women’s Movement to you and cordially invite you to enter into conversation with us.
