Copenhagen: Take to the Streets on 8th of March!
We hereby share an unofficial translation of a call from Antiimperialistisk Aktion and a poster mobilizing for the 8th of March in Copenhagen, published by Røde Fane on the 24th of February.
Antiimperialistisk Aktion, together with Palestinian Assembly Denmark, Time for Peace, Peace Guard, Kurdish Women, Horserød-Stutthof Association, DKU, Håndslag Anti-Imperialist Magazine, DKP, Women in Struggle, APK, and Jobcentrets Ofre, invites you to a demonstration on March 8—International Working Women’s Day of Struggle! 🚩✊
We call on all progressive and revolutionary anti-imperialists to show up and demonstrate their opposition to the system that oppresses women around the world under both imperialism and patriarchy.
As the crisis of imperialism worsens, so do all of society’s problems. This is especially true of growing inequality and an increasing tendency toward violence against women in Denmark.
At the same time, we see millions of women around the world taking to the streets to demand their rights. In the struggle for freedom in Palestine and the people’s wars in Peru, India, Turkey, and the Philippines, women are at the forefront. So let us follow their heroic example and take to the streets together on March 8th at Nørrebros Runddel at 3:00 p.m.
Wave after wave! Blow after blow! Against imperialism and patriarchy!
