Widespread Israeli Raids Against the West Bank

The Israeli army has intensified its operations in the West Bank this week, since Yankee imperialism, using also its lackey, the State of Israel, waged its criminal aggression against Iran. On 28th of February most of the exits and entrances of West Bank governorates were closed. At the same time the Israeli forces prevented people from attending prayer in the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Saturday and established multiple checkpoints in Jerusalem.
Israeli occupation forces are carrying out a large-scale campaign of raids and incursions across the West Bank since early Wednesday, 4th of March. The Israeli forces stormed dozens of towns, villages and refugee camps and carried out mass arrests. Dozens of Palestinians were arrested and several homes have been converted into military outposts. Israeli settlers shot and murdered a Palestinian man and critically injured his brother.

The city of Hebron and nearby towns such as Al-Samou, Beit Ummar and Idhna, the Ramallah. Al-Bireh, Tulkarem, Jenin and Tubas governorates, were among the raided locations. According to Quds News, the raids concentrated in the governorates of Hebron, Nablus y Qalqilya. Several checkpoints were established and many locations were isolated. At least two Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire during the arrests. The Israeli forces targeted former prisoners, relevant political figures in the West Bank and journalists. Settlers raided homes in the village of Al-Aqaba, east of Tubas.
1,965 attacks took place in the West Bank during February, according to a report mentioned by The Palestine Chronicle. 1,454 of those attacks were carried out by Israeli soldiers, while settlers carried out the other 511. These attacks include uprooting trees, mostly olive trees, which have a critical importance for the economy of the Palestinian peasant families. There were also several demolitions of houses, agricultural facilities, etc. More than one-third of the demolitions occurred in Jerusalem.
