Chile (AIL): In Cerro Navia Muralism for Recabarren, Teresa Flores and anti-imperialism

We hereby share a report published on the website of the Coordinating Committee of the Anti-Imperialist League (AIL).

On Sunday, January 4, 2026, our newspaper team, together with comrades from the Anti-Imperialist Front Chile and members of the Teresa Flores Committee, commemorated through a political and cultural action the founding of the Communist Party of Chile. It was founded in 1922 by Luis Emilio Recabarren alongside Teresa Flores, the only woman to participate in this important stage, and January 4 marks her birth. Both figures were depicted on a large scale on walls at the intersection of Mapocho Avenue and Huelen Street.

Following the current aggression of Yankee imperialism against Venezuela and Latin America, based on the teachings of Recabarren, it was also decided to paint a large anti-imperialist slogan, denouncing the invasion, plundering, and destruction of Venezuela and the peoples of the world under the administration of Donald Trump, serving the great American bourgeoisie.

The polarization of society has shown a diversity of opinions, highlighting the support of the poor masses in the sector who not only supported the activity, but also ultimately offered words of encouragement and hope thanks to the revolutionary work we are carrying out.

We call for multiplying celebrations around our proletarian leader and for the repudiation of imperialism in our country.
