Two Police Informants Eliminated in Chhattisgarh
There were reports of two police informants eliminated by the Maoists in the district of Bastar, Chhattisgarh, in the context of Operation Kagaar, unleashed by the old Indian State Forces.
According to the reports, during the night of October 1, two informers were eliminated in different cities of Bastar, in Bijapur and Sukma. The reports states that allegedly those eliminations where made by the CPI (Maoist) after discovering their ties with the police and their work as informants.
During the first elimination, there was no propaganda, but in the second elimination, the Maoists allegedly spread leaflets in the area to explain their action to the people.
The police has denied that there are police informers and urges the people to “immediately alert the police if they notice unusual movements in the area.” and to “cooperate with us”.
