2 Soldiers Eliminated in a Military Action in the Philippines

Philippine Revolution Web Central (PRWC) reports that red fighters of the Lucio de Guzman Command-NPA Mindoro engaged in a gunfight with the 76^th Infantry Battalion (IB) of the old State of the Philippines on November 26^th, eliminating two soldiers.

In Sitio Balite, Barangay Lumangbayan, Abra de Ilog Occidental Mindoro, the NPA fighters encountered the operating 76^th IBPA, they “quickly opened fire and fought back in an organized manner.” They write that as a result of the encounter, two soldiers were eliminated, and several others were left wounded.

PRWC also reports that “Since November 22^nd, the Arnulfo Ortiz Command has been engaged in a series of armed clashes with troops of the 801st Infantry Brigade near Barangay Gereganan, Gandara, Western Samar.” They write that the 3^rd IB, 46^th IB and the 52^nd IB are present in the area, increasing their operations in the countryside, with the aid of air support such as attack helicopters.
