Youth Football Tournament Against Racism in Wörgl, Austria

We hereby share an unofficial translation of a report published by Avrupa Haber.

The football tournament against racism, which has become a tradition of the Youth Committee of the Democratic Workers’ Association of Wörgl, affiliated with ATIGF, was organized this year on February 22 at the Wörgl secondary school sports hall. The tournament, which was prepared and organized thanks to the collective work and energy of young people, sent an important message against corruption, lack of future, and racism among youth.

The tournament, which saw large participation from young migrants of different nationalities, lasted all day. The speech given by the committee on the goal of organizing the tournament, which took place in an atmosphere of friendship and solidarity, emphasized the need for young people to organize and struggle against corrupt policies and all kinds of aggression they face in all areas of life. The event we are celebrating here today is a beautiful example of friendship and solidarity. After the prize ceremony for the qualified teams, the event concluded successfully looking for meeting again next year.
