On October 28, the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) authorized a US special operations and “counterterrorism” aircraft to fly between Guarulhos and Galeão, Brazil. The C-146 Wolfhound also passed through Brasília and Manaus, A Nova Democracia (AND) reports.

According to FAB the documentation presented by the US for the route indicated the exclusive transport of passengers, without cargo or troops. The response did not identify the passengers or clarify the purpose of the trip.

AND reports that through Flightradar24’s history, a longer route of the aircraft can be reconstructed. The plane flew from Santiago, Chile, before entering Brazil, flying through Guarulhos and then to Galeão, then, on October 30, it flew from Rio to Brasília; on October 31, it went to Manaus and from there to San Juan, Puerto Rico. On November 2nd, the platform recorded another flight, from San Juan to Guantánamo, Cuba.

The registration number of the plane, 12-3047, already appeared in another operation in the Venezuelan Amazon, on which we previously reported.
