Our People of Turks, Kurds and Various Nationalities, Migrant Laborers

With the working class gaining class consciousness for itself and the emergence of the communist party form, it engaged in an uninterrupted struggle for power for 150 years. The historical tendency of workers and toilers against the rulers continuing the existing system of oppression and exploitation with reforms, regulating economic, social and political life in line with their own interests and continuing this system with a finger of honey in their mouths, and castrating the organization of the workers and toilers under the name of “civil society”, is the historical tendency of workers and laborers to “want more, want everything.” Workers and laborers started to understand that wanting more involved revolution with a program, and that the fundamental problem of the revolution was the problem of power.

The first rehearsal of power took place with the bloodshed of the communards who “stormed the heavens” with the Paris Commune. After this experience, which lasted only 71 days, a change of power and the specter of communism emerged with the Great October Revolution, the Chinese Revolution and the wave of revolution that swept the whole world. From the Paris Commune to today, the international proletariat has entered into a struggle for power in every corner of the world, full of defeats and victories, but in which it has shed its blood and sacrificed its life. From the Paris Commune to today, historical consciousness, the belief that change will occur, and an understanding of the necessity of the revolution to win the future have been formed with the prices paid by those who “stormed the heavens”.

Comrades, Our Working People

Our Party declared the last week of January as the “Week of Commemoration of the Martyrs of the Party and Revolution” at the 1st Conference held in 1978. The great master Comrade Lenin, the 100th anniversary of whose death we are celebrating this year, the eagles of the German revolution Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebnecht, TKP founder Mustafa Suphi and 15 of our comrades, the first female member of our party Meral Yakar and the first commander of TIKKO, comrades Ali Haydar Yıldız, became immortal in January. The beginning of the torture and murder of Comrade Ibrahim by firing squad in the dungeons of the enemy on May 18 was also January.

This year, we are entering the 100th anniversary of the loss of our great master, Comrade Lenin. While Comrade Lenin victoriously presents the Great October Revolution to history, he continues to live among us with his qualitative contributions to history and social science as well as his revolutionary spirit. Revisionism may have defeated the revolution he carried out, but in his 100th year of commemoration, he still continues to be a teacher to us with all his wisdom and a nightmare to the bourgeoisie who are “caught up in the drunkenness of victory”. A guide for us, a nightmare for the enemy. Because the power of his ideas and scientific approach still guides the liberation of the working class, oppressed peoples and nations. Even if another 100 years pass, it will continue to be a fear for the bourgeoisie and an honor for the international proletariat.

The imperialists and their lackeys are so afraid of the idea of revolution that they continue to attack it with all their might. Because they do nothing but bring great disasters to society. In Ukraine, Palestine, Karabakh, Africa and Syria, imperialists only offer blood and tears to the people. In the rest of the world they are turning the whole world into a desert with rampant exploitation, unlimited oppression and violence. The imperialists and all their lackeys are in an all-out economic and political attack on the workers. The fascist Turkish State, as a link in this chain, organizes all its mechanisms based on more aggression. At this stage of history, the Communist Party and the masses of the people are in a weak and poorly organized situation against the reality of reactionism, which is armed with all its weapons and acts in a more organized manner. This makes rulers more reckless. Being better organized means fighting harder. Being better organized means protecting more rights. Being better organized means further weakening the organizations of reactionism. In order to succeed, to build and win the future today, we must walk stronger in the footsteps of our immortals and keep their awareness of organization and devotion to the cause alive in ourselves. This is the cause of the People’s liberation and what they command us to do.

The last week of January is a commemoration of those who are unwavering in their commitment to the cause.

The last week of January is the promise that we will carry the flag to those who sealed the rightness and legitimacy of our struggle with their blood on the battlefields.

The last week of January is to regain the consciousness of those who are immortalized not only by those who carry the flag handed down by those before them, but also by those who are the makers of the struggle to create the future.

The last week of January is an expression of our historical responsibility, the mission we undertake and the duties we must fulfill, that they live in each of us.

Each of our martyrs is an invitation to struggle. Keeping their name alive will be possible by understanding and fulfilling this invitation. We will be powerful together with the supporters who are united around our party and devoted to it, the militants who are determined to raise the struggle in their ranks, and the cadres who are responsible for shouldering this fight, and we will focus on winning the future.
