ECUADOR: THE ASSAULT ON THE MEXICAN EMBASSY, AN IMPERIALIST AND REACTIONARY PURPOSE

We hereby publish an unofficial translation of an article by the Front for the Defense of the People’s Struggle (Frente de Defensa de Luchas del Pueblo (FDLP-EC)).

Noboa’s fascist regime runs amok like a mule with loose reins. It decided to storm the Mexican embassy in Ecuador to capture Glas, former vice president of Correa, accused of several crimes.

The problem here is not that they violated the sovereignty of the diplomatic headquarters of Mexico, nor that they violated all the international treaties signed by Ecuador, the problem is that, faithful to the precepts of the most shameless, pragmatic and violent fascism, it uses the raid or the violation of the diplomatic headquarters, as a political strategy that allows it to regain support for the next referendum and the upcoming elections.

Noboa did not act alone; he did it with the approval of the United States and Israel. It is enough to see that, a few days ago, Israel bombed and assassinated several members of the Iranian diplomatic delegation in Syria. What we see here is a pattern of behavior, a political line very close to the procedures of the CIA and the Mossad; it is not for nothing that the Foreign Minister, the Minister of Defense and other officials linked to the regime and to strategic intelligence, have family ties, nationality or similars with Israel; without underestimating at all that it is Israel that manages the intelligence planning, supply of technology and armament to the country.

Noboa’s government, clumsily has come out to defend the actions of the fascist big landlord, pointing out that the decision to “enter the embassy” is not political, but juridical.

There are no laws without preceding politics, and politics is an instrument of a particular class. We must be clear, politics is nothing more than that set of attitudes, actions, behaviors, etc., be they theoretical or practical, from which the different classes express their interests. Therefore, the decision and action of the government was political and expresses the interests of the U.S., Israel and, in particular, of the comprador bourgeoisie and its most reactionary faction, big landlord, which intends to consolidate itself in the government and continue promoting and consolidating the imperialist policy in the country and in the region.

That Glas goes to stop at “The Rock”, is the least of it; that Lopez Obrador “stands on his head”, the same, that the UN and the OAS pronounce themselves and issue sanctions, if they do so, is not relevant either; what does count is that we have an imperialist offensive that has found in the region, in Noboa and Milei, particularly, two collaborators who are willing to put everything on the line to put our countries in a condition of a Yankee colony and at the service of the world strategy of imperialism.

The referendum is coming; it should simply be boycotted, it should not be carried out. Whether they approve it or not, things, essentially, do not change for the masses. We will continue to be subjected to a regime of exploitation and oppression. Not different to the next presidential elections; what the coming governments do or do not do practically escapes our objective will; we can, eventually, influence their course, but very hardly their ultimate objectives. Why? Because referendums and elections are instruments of alignment, alienation and allow the maintenance of the state system, the class structure and the survival of semi-feudal and semi-colonial relations of production; furthermore, if what we want is that society has another course, another direction, it will only be on the basis of the destruction of the old State apparatus, of the old society and the erection of everything new under proletarian leadership.

What happens that “Palo Quemado” is a faithful reflection that what the masses demand are new and higher forms of organization, that confront the enemy of the nation, of the people, of the poor peasants; that confront and resolve the contradictions between nation-imperialism; masses-semi-feudalism and, bureaucratic capitalism-workers, in another way, imposing the roar of the rifles in front!

The national problems cannot be seen outside of other types of demands and historical requirements such as those wielded by the proletariat, the peasant masses and others, subjected to the semi-feudal regime and, obviously, the inexorable need to link all these objectives to the uninterrupted transit to socialism.

The violent raid on the Mexican embassy is an affront to Mexican sovereignty, that is true, but it is inscribed in the framework of the inter-bourgeois contradictions and the plans of imperialism.

NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE REFERENDUM!

BOYCOTT THE REFERENDUM!

NO TO THE BUREAUCRATIC PATH, WHICH IS THE ROAD OF CONSTITUTIONALISM AND BIG LANDLORD-BOURGEOIS LEGALITY!

YES TO THE DEMOCRATIC PATH, WHICH IS THE ROAD OF THE PEOPLE, THE ROAD OF THE NEW DEMOCRATIC REVOLUTION!

ORGANIZE, COMBAT AND RESIST!
