Riots in Chile for the housing

As the newspaper El Pueblo has reported, there has been riots in Chile for the question of housing. In the day of struggle against the evictions and the housing crisis in Chile, it started with blockades of roads and highways and occupations in San Antonio, Valparaíso, Arica and Santiago. Several ‘tomas’ are under eviction order and that is why they decided to take the streets after the big repression that ‘Toma 17 de Mayo’ suffered, burning their houses.

A video of the march in Chile was published. The ‘Toma 17 de Mayo’ was present and they spoke out clearly on how they will not be stopped: “What does the State of Chile wants? That the residents do not take the street? That the fear stops them? But this will NOT happen again.”
