Today, less than 24 hours after the declaration of Netanyahu on the expansion of his war goals to include the border of Lebanon it was reported about several explosions across Lebanon that killed at least 12 people, including an 8-year-old girl, and wounded 4,000 people. At least 200 of those who are wounded are in a critical condition. One of the deaths took place also in Syria. In its first declarations, Hezbollah firmly accuses Israel on the attack, claiming they are “fully responsible”. The attack consisted in the simultaneous explosion of 1,000 new devices that were recently obtained to Hezbollah members and it is to be investigated how Israel introduced the explosions in the devices. One more time we see how Israel attacks the people, not only in the occupied territory but also in other countries which it is not even in war with.
The news took place one day after Netanyahu announced the expansion of the Israeli war goals to include the border of Lebanon. The prime minister of Israel stated that his goals for the war have expanded, to include enabling Israelis who have fled from areas near the Lebanese border to return to their homes. In this border, the cross-border fire between Israel and Hezbollah has been daily since the beginning of the military invasion campaign. Even though, they have already approved the “safe return of the residents of the north to their homes” in an overnight meeting in Netanyahu’s security cabinet. This decision comes after the visit of Yoav Gallant, Minister of Defense, to the United States, where he stated that “(…) military actions was the only way left to ensure the return of Israel’s northern communities”.
This week was reported the bombard of Israeli settlement of Rosh Hanikra by Hezbollah for the first time. Since the daily attacks of Hezbollah against Israel starting on Thursday, September 12, the actions intensified due to the attack of two civilians in Al-Bayyada, South Lebanon, by the Israeli army. Hezbollah Military media then reported on the actions done for this attack, which include the attack against the Rosh Hanikra settlement using rocket weapons, but also other targets as the Nahal Gershom base, which was attacked with assault drones to target the positions of its officers and soldiers.
A similar thing happened on Saturday 14, when another civilian was murdered in Kfar Roumman, South Lebanon, and again Hezbollah intensified the actions against Israel. It was reported that Hezbollah forces targeted a Merkava tank on Ruweisat Al-Alam-Zibdeen road with a guided missile, achieving a direct hit that destroyed the tank and set it on fire.
Ansarallah, know as “the Houthies” also claimed responsibility for a missile attack on Israel on Sunday, which targeted a military objective in Tel Aviv. The spokesman of the military group stated that they used a “hypersonic” ballistic missile which reached its objective in less than 12 minutes. After the attack, Netanyahu tried to threat Ansarallah: “They should have known by now that we exact a heavy price for any attempt to harm us” in reference to the Yemeni Hodeidah attack in July after another drone attack in Tel Aviv.
More massacres against civilians by the Israeli Army are reported in Palestine. Israeli forces committed a heinous massacre in the Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip. The Israeli Army stroked on the overpopulated area causing the massacre. The Civil Defense in Gaza estimated that at least 50 people were inside the targeted homes by the Israeli forces at Al-Bureij camp. Many of the victims are still buried under debris which use to be houses. It is reported that entire families have been murdered. While Civil Defense attempted to arrive to the camp, they were attacked by Israeli aircraft. According to Palestinian media, they also fired ambulance crews attempting to retrieve the wounded.
This is not the sole massacre that the Israeli Army has carried out during this days. It was reported about the attack on the al-Jaouni school-turned-shelter in the Gaza Strip, where at least 18 people were murdered, including six members of the United Nations Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA). According to witnesses, the school was attacked while they were eating. One Palestinian woman who survived said she had lost all her six children. Al-ouni is at least the sixth school to be targeted since August 1.
With this new massacre, the death toll raises up to 41,252 people murdered and 95,497 injured in the ongoing genocide to the people of Palestine by the State of Israel.
The number of detained also increases. In 24 hours, 30 people were detained all over West Bank. The Israeli Army broke up in a hospital and attempted to detain an injured Palestinian, injured due to a car explosion. In the city of Husan, in West Bank, the Israeli army detained a 17-year-boy man while he was coming back from home. The young man endured cigarette burns and other wounds and bruises on different parts of the body and he was transferred to Beit Jala Hospital. Demonstrations were reported on this issues, and the Israeli occupation forces shot tear gas to those protesting. In Tubas, 11 Palestinians were detained.
