Mexico: October 7th actions in support of the Palestinian National Resistance

We publish an unofficial translation of an article from Sol Rojo MX:

On October 7, the first anniversary of the start of the brilliant counteroffensive “Al-Aqsa Flood” by the Palestinian National Resistance was celebrated; on the same day, a hearing was held in France to decide on the tenth request for extradition and freedom of the Lebanese communist Georges Ibrahim Abdallah, a political prisoner for 40 years as a hostage of Yankee and French imperialism in complicity with criminal Zionism.

Responding to the calls of the Anti-Imperialist League (AIL) and the Unitary Campaign for the Liberation of Georges Ibrahim Abdallah (CUpLGIA), workers and peoples of the world have carried out various actions, which were also replicated in our country.

Mexico City:

On October 5, a march was organized in Mexico City by the Common Platform for Palestine and the National Coordination of Education Workers (CNTE); the march started from the Angel of Independence to the Monument of the Revolution and concluded with a unitary rally.

Tamaulipas:

On October 7, the comrades of the Committee of Solidarity with the People of Palestine – Tamaulipas held an awareness-raising activity in the center of Tampico, where they distributed flyers and posted some dazibaos in public places. The comrades of the Committee made a speech claiming the right of the Palestinian people to repel the invaders and had the opportunity to exchange comments with the people who were interested in the activity and the Palestinian cause.

Oaxaca:

On October 7, the Current of the People – Red Sun called for a solidarity action which began in Santo Domingo with a combative march under the rain to the main square of the city where a rally was held saluting the heroic Palestinian National Resistance, the brave Lebanese people who reject the colonial aggression of Zionism and comrade Georges Ibrahim Abdallah, demanding his release. The flags of Yankee imperialism and criminal Zionism were burned there. Hundreds of flyers were distributed along the way.
