The Continental Meeting “building an alliance against gas pipelines and others mega-projects in defense of the territories of indigenous peoples” has successfully being done, which has brought together hundreds of delegates from various organizations, peoples, nations and resistance processes throughout the continent, also with the participation of solidarity colleagues from Europe. For three days the the work of the Meeting was carried out in an atmosphere of comradeship, respect and solidarity. The different speeches had interesting presentations and debates, where proposals and new tasks were built. There were also cultural contributions, an action plan was established and a Declaration was agreed as a result of the Continental Meeting.
Our democratic organization was present again raising our complaints against the old State and its crusade of corporatism and militarization, which deepens with the beginning of this new six-year term that already has its first massacre against migrants in Chiapas and its first acts of repression against the people, as the events that occurred against the students, who were shot this Sunday by agents of the police municipal of Morelia, of the “Vasco” Rural Teacher’s School of Quiroga in Michoacán shows.
In that situation the Meeting has spoken out for the victims of terrorism State demanding “the presentation with life of Sergio Rivera, of the 43 teacher students of Ayotzinapa, Sandra Estefanía Domínguez, Claudia Uruchurtu, Ernesto Sernas García, Estefanía Domínguez Martínez and many and many more. We demand punishment for Samir Flores, Noé Jiménez Pablo, José Santiago Gómez, Luis Armando Fuentes Aquino, Jesús Manuel García Martínez, Félix Vicente Cruz, Juan López murderers, of the comrades of the People’s Union of Street Vendors “October 28. Justice for Betty Cariño and Jyri Jaakkola, 14 years after her murder.” We salute the resolutions of this Meeting and we ratify our adherence to these and their different tasks. Against imperialist mega-projects of dispossession and death… Combat and Resist!
