Chile: New housing committee “Resistencia Pobladora” and interview with the unionist educational workers

As the newspaper El Pueblo reports, on Sunday November 3, 50 families gathered in Chillán to form a new housing organization under the principles of struggle, the housing committee Resistencia Pobladora (Resident Resistance) in Chillán.

“The homeless residents, with great enthusiasm, decided to organize with the purpose of conquering their homes and defending the people’s right for housing. At the same time, they denounced the lack of opportunities and the abandonment of the homeless by the State and the bureaucracy of those organizations that are driven by the government.

This is an important step in the organization of the homeless in the region and a sign that the struggle for housing is growing more and more every day throughout the country.” Also, a video was published on the problems at the workplaces that the Unions of Red Ignaciana of Education School are facing.
