We hereby publish an unofficial translation of an article by Yeni Demokrasi:

A commemoration event was held in Austria by Partizan on Sunday, January 12, as part of the Week of Remembrance for the Martyrs of the Party and the Revolution.

The commemoration event held in Wimpassing began with a moment of silence in memory of those immortalized in the struggle for revolution and communism. After the opening speech, a video was shown for those immortalized. After the video, the families of those immortalized were invited to the stage and given carnations.

After the reading of the statement sent by the Party of the Proletariat to the event, the message of the PŞTA (Partisan Martyrs and Prisoners Families) statement was read. MKP Austria supporters also sent a message and greeted those who were immortalized. The event continued with a poetry recital.

Following the messages, a video was shown for the people’s war guerillas Sefagül Kesgin, Nurşen Arslan, Derya Aras, Gülizar Özkan and Fatma Acar, who were immortalized as a result of the collapse of the winter camp on February 2, 2011.

The commemoration event ended with the melodies of Grup Leylizar.
