Israel continues its genocidal campaign in the West Bank
Israeli military launched the major offensive in the West Bank on January 21 aiming to root out the Palestinian National Resistance. This came after the traitorous Palestinian Authority prepared Israel’s assault during more than a month of operations against its own people in the Jenin area.
In sum Israeli troops and settlers have murdered at least 883 Palestinians in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
The genocidal onslaught in two West Bank refugee camps have displaced nearly 5,500 Palestinian families since December, local and UN officials said Tuesday. A spokesman for the UN Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA), said an estimated 2,450 to 3,000 families have been displaced from the Tulkarem refugee camp. Faisal Salama, head of the camp’s committee, estimated that 80 percent of its 15,000 residents have been displaced. There is a shortage of water, no electricity, no communication and a lack of essential supplies such as milk for children, diapers, and medicine. At least 3,000 families – around 15,000 people – have also fled the Jenin refugee camp since December.
In Nablus the resistance fired on and detonated improvised explosive devices targeting the IDF during the past weekend.
On Sunday, the IDF murdered two Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) combatants in a strike in Qabatiya, Jenin Governorate. A young Palestinian man was shot and murdered and several others injured by Israeli forces’ gunfire during a military raid on the Al-Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron (Al-Khalil). Clashes broke out with Israeli forces in the camp following the murder. At least four young men were shot with live ammunition in their lower limbs.
Meanwhile the IDF expanded its operations and began operating in Tamun, Tubas Governorate. Tamun is located approximately 25 kilometers southeast of Jenin.
The Israeli military said that it had killed at least 50 militants until then, earlier destroying around two dozens residential buildings in Jenin refugee camp. The Palestinian health ministry on the other hand reported that at least 70 people had been murdered by Israeli forces in the West Bank this year, 38 of them in Jenin.
Resistance combatants detonated a powerful explosive device targeting Israeli occupation forces in the Al-Fara’a camp in the city of Tubas. Israeli occupation forces raided neighborhoods in the city of Nablus.
On Monday, the traitorous PA forces, as part of their collaboration with the Israeli genocide, arrested 5 youths from the Jenin camp while they were in Jenin city.
The IDF announced it has killed three Palestinian fighters in Tulkarem, northern West Bank, in recent days and also detained almost 50 people. A 13-year-old girl was injured by Israeli gunfire in the Al-Akasha neighborhood of Tulkarem refugee camp on Monday. The IDF 828th Infantry Brigade began to use Eitan armored fighting vehicles (AFV) to bolster their operation in Tubas. Israeli occupation forces abducted at least 9 Palestinians during a raid in Tammun, south of Tubas.

There are multiple methods and tools Israel applies for annexing West Bank lands, including legal and judicial amendments that facilitate the annexation process. A new law was recently approved allowing settlers to purchase and own lands in the occupied West Bank, signaling an acceleration of efforts to annex the territory. The law, in its current form, violates international norms and is a step toward to completely take the whole West Bank. It legitimizes illegal settlers as landowners. Since January the Israeli forces and settlers carried out 2,161 attacks across the occupied West Bank. Settlers attempted to establish 10 new outposts, while Israeli authorities seized 262.000 square meters of land at the north of occupied Jerusalem.
