CULPGIA: Statement on the Liberation of Georges Abdallah
We share an unofficial translation of the CULPGIA statement on Abdallah that we received.

Dear friends, dear comrades,
On this historical day, the slogan that we held up so many times has acquired its full meaning and has been put into action: “For victory or victory!”
This victory is, in the first place, Georges Abdallah’s and of all the supporters of our comrade who, from the first day until the present, have committed themselves to this long-term struggle so that together, and only together, we can win.
Naturally, tonight, our thoughts, all our thoughts, are with our comrade, whose life, struggle, liberation, and victory are so central, just like the cause that we carry together with him. His words and actions have constantly shown us, over all these years, the strength and power of his political identity and his uncompromising resistance, without denials or betrayals. Georges Abdallah celebrates tonight the decisive and ascending mobilization of his supporters that led to the decision to release him, but at the same time, we can celebrate his constant contribution, with his militancy, his political integrity, and the truth of his cause, to make this mobilization a decisive and ascending one. Georges Abdallah, you are our comrade and tonight in turn we celebrate your victory.
A thought also goes out, naturally, on this day to all those who, since 2005, have been at the beginning of this struggle to break the deafening silence that surrounds the detention of our comrade and whose legacy we have always recognized and praised.
A moving thought goes out to all our comrades who died too early, who we miss so much, provided constant support and to whom we promised to continue our unbreakable commitment until victory.
A thought goes out to all those anonymous people who have always been there to express their full solidarity and have always responded to each of the actions called, participating fully over the months in the magnitude of the mobilization.
A thought goes out to these personalities who love justice, to these sincere journalists, and to these few politicians – and to those who contacted them – for the courage they have being showing in making this State scandal heard from their platforms in the media or in the corridors of the chambers.
A thought goes out to the lawyers of our comrade – and in particular for Jean-Louis Chalanset – for the strategies and legal battles fought disinterestedly throughout these exceptional proceedings in favor of this exceptional prisoner.
A thought goes out to all the political militants of the collectives, committees, associations, unions, and parties that, in the diversity of our expressions, have made it possible to carry out initiatives on all fronts to make the demand for Georges Abdallah’s liberation an imperative of all struggles and at all times.
A thought goes out to all the international supporters who, through their internationalism – despite sometimes the distance of several thousand kilometers – have perceived the importance of making known and defending Georges Abdallah’s anti-imperialist, anti-Zionist struggle for the emancipation of oppressed peoples and nations, whether from Vancouver to Tunis, from Mexico to Beirut, from Ankara to Dublin, and everywhere in Europe, and who also have been part of this relationship of forces in front of the places of representation of the French State abroad.
A thought goes out to our comrades of this “wave of active youth”, the Revolutionary Youth League, the Revolutionary Youth, the Federation of Student Unions, and other organizations of communist youth and student committees of Palestine. Their sincerity, energy, commitment, fidelity and strength for the political identity of our comrade, have allowed to carry out this mobilization on a national level, at universities, but also throughout France, in popular neighborhoods, and in the very hearts of our cities and spread it masterfully.
Finally, a thought goes out to all the organizations and thousands of supporters who have perceived in the importance of organizing themselves in a unitary campaign – maintaining their own identity – to put into practice the imperative of amplifying in number, intensifying in strength, and coordinating all our forces to strike with one hand during the great regional, national, and international events and to proclaim loudly the political identity of Georges Abdallah, his combat, as he has always demanded in all his declarations, since 2015 or over the years. Let us salute all the sincere organizations that have disseminated and contributed to this extensive network throughout the country and internationally, allowing the struggle and the demand for Georges Abdallah’s liberation to occupy a more prominent place than ever, as a sign of solidarity and active support for the national liberation struggle of the Palestinian people and its heroic resistance, of which they are existentially inseparable, and who have always chanted and made resonate the central slogan of this cause in its entirety: “Palestine will live! Palestine will win! Freedom for Georges Abdallah!”
Today, Georges Abdallah is free! Palestine will triumph!
Georges Abdallah has always proclaimed and demonstrated that another future is possible and inevitable; his liberation today is also a flagrant demonstration of it, this can only encourage us to continue the struggle for Palestine, for whole Palestine, and more broadly for the emancipation of oppressed peoples and nations by victory or victory.
Palestine will live, Palestine will win. For victory or victory!
