Communist Propaganda prohibited in Czech Republic
On Friday the 18th of July the Czech president, Petr Pavel, has announced a new law that will change the criminal law to prohibit ideas that are a threat to imperialism and its lackeys. Up to five years of prison for those who “establishes, supports and promotes Nazi, communist, or other movements which demonstrably aim to suppress human right and freedoms or incite racial, ethnic, national religious or class-based hatred”.
This is an attack against the people and the right of expression in these moment of imperialist crisis. As Antigeitonies reports, the Czech State is “slandering communism and” utilizes “the vulgar parallelism with Nazism and fascism”. Comparing these two after 80 years since the defeat of the Nazis, in a country that was liberated by Communism from the Nazi occupation and terror is absurd. Imperialism and its lackeys have all the reason to fear the increase of popularity of communist ideas in Czech republic. The fear that truly democratic and anti-reactionary ideas gain popularity, push the reaction to impose more restrictions to the democratic rights, so the oppressed people align themselves more with the ideas that are acceptable for imperialism.
