Israeli occupation forces murdered a Palestinian man in Jenin on Monday and carried out widespread raids and arrests throughout the occupied West Bank. The murder happened in Qabatiya, in the Jenin Governorate. Another young man was injured by Israeli gunfire and was detained. At the same time the Israeli soldiers detained several Palestinians in other parts of West Bank, such as in Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, in Nablus and in Hebron.

The Israeli offensive on West Bank continues and has increased its aggressiveness and reach since months. At the end of July the Israeli parliament (Knesset) voted for a non-binding motion for the agenda in favor of annexing the occupied West Bank. The motion was backed by 71 members of the 120-seat assembly against 13 votes.

In May, the government approved the construction of 22 new settlements, described as “the largest expansion since Oslo.” We already reported on that:

Palestine Chronicle has repeatedly reported on settler attacks who carried out raids in the West Bank, protected by the Israeli troops as a part of the Israeli criminal attacks against Palestinian territory:
