
Millions Take to the Streets to Express Solidarity with Palestine

In the past weeks millions took to the streets and protested against the genocidal policies, the murders and famine perpetrated by the State of Israel in the Gaza Strip. We hereby share a compilation of some actions done by revolutionaries and masses of countries from all over the world. We have recently reported on the solidarity expressed by the peoples of the world:
Thousands of Palestinians marched through several cities in the West Bank on Sunday 3rd of August to protest the ongoing Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip and the blockade on aid delivery. Several marches took place in Ramallah for the past few days:
Massive marches which gathered millions of people took place in the capital of Yemen, Sana’a:
Ansar Allah, also know as “the Houthies” continued their actions in solidarity with the Palestinian resistance and have launched several missiles against Israeli targets. On July 27, they decided to escalate its naval operations against Israel by targeting all ships belonging to any company that deals with Israeli ports, regardless of the company’s nationality. Moreover drones were directed against Haifa, Eilat, Beersheba and Negev. At the beginning of August, the Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv was attacked several times, by a hypersonic missile as well as by groups of drones.
In Khammam, India, a massive pro-Palestine demonstration took place on August 7. It is said the event was organized by the Palestine Solidarity Committee. There was a huge participation from school and college-going students.
A memorandum addressed to the Members of Parliament calling for an end to the genocide in Gaza was released to the media. The memorandum has been signed by some progressive personalities of the Indian social movements.
A Nova Democracia has reported on several demonstrations and marches that took place in Brazil. The “Demonstration of Rebellion” was organized in Rio de Janeiro on 28th of July where hundreds of people participated. The colonial and racist character of Israel, the ties between Luiz Inácio, the PT and Brazil with Israel, and the Israeli attacks on Gaza were denounced. Dozens of activists took to the streets in Porto Alegre on 9th of August and denounced the collaboration by Porto Alegre province with Zionist companies, such as Elbit Systems. Masses protested the presentation by the Zionist Army spokesperson in Rio de Janeiro, invited by Zionist associations.




Many actions have been carried out in Turkey. On August 3 hundreds, including Partizan readers, gathered in front of the Süreyya Opera House in Kadıköy with the call of the Palestine Action Committee to protest Israel’s attacks on Gaza.

A demonstration to show solidarity with Palestine took place at the beginning of August in Zurich, Switzerland. Partizan readers were present in the mobilization, the march lasted two hours and denounced Yankee imperialism for its role in the genocide:


Mural Newspaper has recently shared an action by Mexican activists in solidarity with Palestine:
There was a new weekly demonstration for Palestine on Saturday 26 of July in Trondheim, Norway. At least 150 people participated in the mobilization and protested against resistance the genocide perpetrated by Israel. Another demonstration also took place in Kristiansand:



At the end of July the Anti-imperialist Collective lead a demonstration in Turku, Finland. More than 300 people participated in the demonstration and demanded to cut ties with the State of Israel:


At the end of July pro-Palestine activists carried out an action against genocide in Salzburg, Austria, interrupting the most famous cultural event in the whole country. Banners against genocide in Palestine were deployed and the event drawn the attention from many media outlets worldwide:


In València, Spanish State, pro-Palestine activists gathered to celebrate the liberation of Georges Ibrahim Abdallah. A film-screening of Fedayin took place at the end of the night:


While the government proclaims itself as in favor of Palestine and progressive, the reality is that many pro-Palestinian activists are constantly harassed and detained in mobilizations in several Spanish cities. For example, in Madrid six activists were detained after a rally:
The newspaper La Cause du Peuple from France has interviewed recently a Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP)’s leader, Mariam Abu Daqqa:
