Anti-Fascists Mobilized Against Racist-Fascist Action in London!
We hereby share an unofficial translation of a report published by Avrupa Haber. On Saturday a massive reactionary mobilization took place in the capital of England against the migrant workers. Anti-fascist forces mobilized and confronted the reactionaries.
In response to the march and rally organized by racist-fascist forces in London, thousands of anti-fascists held a counter-march, chanting “the streets are ours” and “no room for fascism”.
The anti-fascists did not back down during the march, where police, who simultaneously tolerated racist and fascist forces, engaged in provocative behavior against anti-fascist forces and made arrests. The anti-fascists, who stood by the detainees, along with Partizan and AGEB activists and AvegKon supporters, resisted the police, attempted to prevent the detentions, and demanded their release.
Later in the march, approximately 2,500 anti-fascists were blocked from both sides by the large fascist forces, and after a four-hour wait, they continued their march. Protesting the police’s lenient treatment of the fascists, the anti-fascists concluded the march by calling for an escalation of the struggle against fascism.
