THE MULTINATIONAL PEOPLE’S PARLIAMENT GIVES DIRECTION TO THE UPRISING

Today the 8th of October 2025, one of the most massive and important mobilizations of the people’s – indigenous uprising occurred in Ibarra. About 2.500 peasants, organized under the flags of the UNORCAC (Union of Peasants Organizations of Cotacachi) realized a symbolic occupation of the city. Almost the entire economic activity stopped; the reaction engrossed, was not able to stop the march. The merchants closed their shops and joined the march.

The march passed the main streets towards the Provincial Electoral Tribunal, where the outcome of the electoral farce was ratified; then to the public prosecutor’s office to demand transparency and haste in the investigations and trials making of the soldiers who cowardly murdered comrade Efraín Fuerez.

Before regressing, the peasants concentrated at the Obelisk, a strategic and symbolic place of the city, where messages of rebellion where spread and the clear determination to continue the people’s rebellion until the achievement of the set goals.

In the evening hours, indigenous and peasants of Mariano Acosta and Pimampiro of the Karanki people, workers, students, informal workers, etc., carried out a march in the south of the city, summoning to the people’s neighborhoods to join the uprising until the defeat of the fascist regime of Noboa.

Those who bet that the “holiday” will extinguish the flames of people’s rebellion, were mistaken. The uprising, led in the province by the Indigenous-People’s Parliament of Ibarra, is still ongoing, decisively and convinced that the rights and freedoms are not gained by begging, they are being conquered by organization, mobilization and struggle.

The message is clear: either Noboa steps back in his anti-people’s economic and politic measures, or the uprising will persist, indefinite and combative, until the people’s will is accepted.

The masses make the history. Today, their determination overflow any encirclement of the reaction: it is right to rebel, and the rebellion is reaffirmed and advances. Nothing and nobody will stop the organized force of the people.
