Demonstration in Support of Sudan in Bergen, Norway

Kampkomiteen writes that on 1st of November activists participated in a demonstration organized by the Sudanese community in Bergen.

They write that many defied the bad weather, showing up to show their support for the Sudanese people. Slogans were chanted throughout the demonstration, among them “Stop the war in Sudan!”, “Help Women in Sudan!” and “What do we want? Peace! Peace! When do we want it? Now! Now!”.

They also write that several people had brought posters to the demonstration. One of the posters accused the United Arab Emirates of committing genocide in Sudan. Kampkomiteen writes: “Several imperialists and their lackeys have interfered in the conflict for their own gain. Yankee imperialism has close ties with both Egypt and the Emirates, which are on different sides of the conflict. In this way, the imperialists can ensure that they secure their influence and power, regardless of who wins the internal rivalry in the country.”
