Germany: New impulse in the revolutionary women’s movement
We hereby publish an unofficial translation of a report from the comrades of the Red Women’s Committee Ruhr (Roten Frauenkomitees Ruhr), which they sent Dem Volke Dienen.
Over the past weekend, a political and cultural event was organized, providing an opportunity for many women comrades to discuss the urgent need for a leap forward in the revolutionary women’s movement in Germany. Particular emphasis was placed on the ever-increasing double oppression and exploitation of proletarian and working-class women by capitalism in its highest form, imperialism, and patriarchy. The necessity of a strong, class-conscious women’s organization to mobilize, politicize, and organize women for this struggle was stressed. Key demands of the day, such as “Equal pay for equal work!” and “Free and good quality childcare!”, were issued, offering initial points of reference for future struggles. The event, held in a spirit of comradeship and celebration, fostered numerous discussions and exchanges among the comrades.
The experiences of comrades from oppressed countries were also part of the discussions, in which the role of Ecuadorian comrade Patricia Amaya was highlighted, who as a proletarian revolutionary is one of the living role models of the proletarian women’s movement.

Our comrade is an important trade union leader and member of the FDDT-I (Defense Front of Workers’ Rights in Imbabura), which is subjected to repression, surveillance, harassment, and prosecution by the old Ecuadorian state. A solidarity photo was taken during a political and cultural event, which we are sharing with you.
