Yankee imperialism has hijacked a second oil tanker as a part of its siege against Venezuela. Venezuelan officials denounce the move as “theft and hijacking”. US Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed the interception on Saturday and stressed the necessity to continue carrying out such actions, as this comes as the second operation of this type in the past two weeks.

The operation was carried out by the US Coast Guard with the support of the Pentagon, by deploying military helicopters which landed on the deck of the ship. The action has been carried out in the framework of the “total siege” announced as a part of the low-intensity war against Venezuela.

Venezuelan officials label the action as “serious act of international piracy”. The vessel Centuries was carrying some 1.8 million barrels of Venezuelan crude oil bound for China. Meanwhile US officials claimed that the ship stopped “voluntarily” and the boarding was “consented”.

At least 104 people have been murdered in 28 known attacks by Yankee imperialism since early September, as a part of the imperialist aggression being carried out in the Caribbean and the increasing military deployment in Latin America. We have recently reported on this matter:
