On Wednesday, January 28, at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FLSH) in Limoges, activists from the Jeunes Révolutionnaires(JR) and the Fédération Syndicale Étudiante(FSE) gave Clément Beaune a noisy welcome, reports La Cause du Peuple (LCDP).

Clément Beaune is the former Minister of Transport, now High Commissioner for Strategy and Planning. He traveled to Limoges for a conference organized at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FLSH) called “The Night of the Future.” His presence was not announced and the event pretended to be a “debate on youth and environmental health”.

However activists of JR and FSE distributed leaflets informing of the reality. LCDP reports that he was greeted with whistles, speeches through a megaphone, and slogans in the lecture hall for over half an hour. Beaune was unable to deliver his speech and he had to abandon the room. The activists remained there to ensure that he was not intervening again.
